Description

The PACS repository is one of the most comprehensive provincial Diagnostic Imaging (DI) repositories in the country and contains approximately 8.8 million exams with 324 million associated images. PACS allows health care providers across the province to digitally view, manage, share and store images and related medical reports on a secure computer system from any location, regardless of where the test was performed. PACS has replaced the use of film for diagnostic services such as x-rays, ultrasounds, computed tomography (CT) and mammography.

Note: PACS is an image repository and does not contain analyzable data. The notes and reports that describe the diagnostic images contained in PACS can be found in the DI Module of Meditech.
