Description
The CR is the first foundational registry of the NL electronic health record (EHR), and is managed by NLCHI. It contains demographic and administrative information that enables the accurate identification of individuals in the provincial EHR by linking the demographic information from clinical information systems to the same information in the CR. It is currently used to accurately identify clients for services or billing purposes by staff in hospitals, community services offices, long-term care facilities, MCP and authorized users of the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) and the Pharmacy Network.
