Description
The DIS of the Pharmacy Network is managed by NLCHI and contains person-specific medication profiles, including patient demographic and drug information, prescribing physician, and other related information. The Pharmacy Network is a component of the provincial EHR that interacts with the Client Registry and Provider Registry and is designed to support improvements in patient care and safety. The DIS currently holds information for all of NL community pharmacies and three hospital outpatient dispensaries, connecting pharmacists, physicians and other authorized health professionals to secure and comprehensive medication profiles of their patients regardless of where the prescription was filled in NL.
